Meet the Team

Since September 2000, Occupational Health Business Management Ltd has provided on-site occupational health services to organisations both large and small. In this specialist field we’ve worked with SMEs through to large businesses with multiple site operations, in both the public and private sectors.

Today we are proud to be recognised as a leader in the occupational health sector for our flexible approach to individual businesses. We provide focused solutions with an emphasis on prevention rather than reaction.

OHBM works with businesses in partnership, addressing and understanding your specific needs and advising on both immediate and long-term solutions.

Every member of the OHBM clinical team is qualified to Specialist Practitioner level. We are experts in our chosen field of occupational health and you can rest assured that our advice and decisions will stand up to legal and professional scrutiny.

If you’re facing health related issues in the workplace or in the planning stages of occupational health policies, we would love to hear from you. We offer a free review of your business with no obligation – and a full workplace report on the same day. Contact the team at OHBM today to discuss your needs.

About Our Team

Allison Caine, Founder and MD

Allison embarked on her career in Occupational Health in 1986 at Macclesfield Hospitals, where she pursued formal qualifications in this specialised medical field. Throughout her career, she has worked with numerous national and regional organisations, playing a key role in pivotal transformations that advanced the recognition and integration of Occupational Health across various industries. Notably, she was instrumental in the development of the National Drug and Alcohol Policy for British Rail, the shift from a treatment-based to a proactive, nurse-led service delivery model, and the introduction of EMDR for post-trauma support. These initiatives have had a lasting positive impact on employee health and have significantly enhanced the role of occupational health nurses.

As Secretary of the North-West Occupational Health Group (formerly the Greater Manchester Occupational Health Group), Allison worked collaboratively with fellow board members to organise study days, annual conferences, and to promote educational bursaries. Her efforts ensured that members met professional standards for Continuing Professional Education (PREP) and maintained high-quality practice.

Allison is deeply passionate about Occupational Health and is dedicated to championing its values both within and beyond the profession. She is a strong advocate for ensuring all Occupational Health nurses have access to formal training and a reliable support network to help them uphold and benchmark professional standards.

As a former Board member and Trustee of The Faculty of Occupational Health Nurses (FOHN), Allison served as Communications and Marketing Director. In this role, she collaborated closely with fellow board members, including nurse educators and legal experts, to ensure that members received up-to-date guidance for informed professional decision-making. She takes pride in seeing many Occupational Health nurses, especially those new to the specialty, consider the FOHN as their primary resource for Occupational Health standards.

Outside of her professional life, Allison enjoys staying active through the gym and cycling, as well as socialising with friends. She also serves as Vice Chair at an Academy High School, further demonstrating her commitment to education and leadership.

Sadie Nicholson, PA to MD

Sadie first joined the OHBM team in 2017. She joined the team with over 20 years’ experience in office administration, ten of those working as an Executive Assistant in various fields including television, finance and legal. She very quickly took on a Senior role at OHBM and has been instrumental in establishing efficient systems, building strong client relationships and helped drive the business to the next level. She is an integral part of the team, working as Allison’s PA.

Outside of work, Sadie loves going for walks with her dog Baloo, travelling, going to the cinema, eating great food and drinking even better wine.

Laura Revell, Senior Administrator and Lead Occupational Health Technician

Laura joined the OHBM administration team in July 2022 and quickly progressed to the role of Senior Administrator. She has 14 years’ experience working within administration and customer facing roles, along with 10 years’ experience in managerial roles. Laura further developed the OHBM administration systems and has an exceptional ability to understand our clients’ needs by gaining their trust and appreciation.

Laura has a dual role and is also trained as an Occupational Health Technician. This allows her to work on client sites and gain a greater understanding of their business needs and the individual roles within their organisation.

Her hobbies include fitness, travelling and spending time with friends and family.

Francesca Di Santo, Client Engagement Co-ordinator

Francesca is the newest addition to the OHBM administrative team, joining us in July 2024.  She quickly settled into her role at OHBM and is already making positive impacts within the team and our extensive client network. She has previous OH experience working for a major NHS Trust’s OH department for nearly 3 years and 10 years experience within administration and customer facing roles in both private and public sectors.

Francesca is fluent in English, French and Italian and has a natural passion for building a positive rapport with people from all walks of life.  Her hobbies include walking, Pilates, bike riding and eating out with family and friends.
